EMMA POWERS

INTRODUCTION

My name is Courtney Case. I am a senior Community Health Education

Major, Outdoor Recreation Minor from Macomb, MI. I am interested
in corporate wellness because it is often overlooked in the health field.
Usually the focus is put on people that do not have access to proper
health resources, but there are people that have access and do not
have the time or knowledge to be the best versions of themselves.

My name is Emma Powers. I am a senior at Northern Michigan

University studying Management of Health and Fitness. Although I
was born in Oregon, I have spent much of my life in Marquette, MI. I
have always had a passion for health and wellness and recently I
have developed a strong interest in corporate wellness. Many things
draw me to the idea of promoting wellness in corporate employees.
The state of health in our society is at the worst it has ever been.
With many people spending most of their time at their workplace, it is
imperative that they have an onsite wellness program to offset
preventable diseases and to help them become the best version of
themselves. I like the complexity of creating corporate wellness
programs. They require short term and long term goal development,
and unique strategies to get employees involved. This has also
drawn me in - the endless creativity that it takes to come up with the
best, most innovative programs.
