SAMR Model Staff Development Step-by-Step

Step 1: As they arrive, instruct participants to log into their Barrow County Google Email addresses.
Step 2: Introduction of presenter and the purpose of the professional development.
Step 3: Participants take a four question pre-assessment asking which part of the
SAMR Model each scenario is in.
Step 4: Review results of the SAMR Model pre-assessment with participants
Step 5: Complete presentation of SAMR Model, stopping at Redefinition (Slide 12)
Step 6: Have participants go to link of Padlet and will input an example of
substitution. Also, they will be encouraged to comment on someone elses post on
how to make an improvement with technology to the lesson.
Step 7: Discuss with participants their responses on the Padlet.
Step 8: Finish Presentation with examples of Substitution and Augmentation.
Step 9: Direct participants to complete the post professional development
assessment.
Step 10: When participants complete professional development assessment, they
will be asked to complete a short evaluation of the professional development.
