Clasp hands and say this mantra:

Place left hand palms facing upwards on right hand palms facing down on left hand
and say this mantra:

Ring bell and say this Mantra:


Say Mantra and do the following :
( Sip water from right hand )

Pour a spoon of water on your right hand palm and let it run down to the ground
passing through the tip of your fingers .
Pass right hand fingers over mouth, from right hand side.
Rub palms with right palm on top
Rub palms with left palm on top .
Pour a spoon of water on your right palm, and let it run to the ground passing
through the tip of your fingers.

Clasp hands ( like in prayer )


Touch right knee with right hand.
Touch left knee with right hand.
Touch chin with right hand.
Touch under nose with right hand.
Touch right side of nostril with right hand.
Touch left side of nostril with right hand.
Touch right eye with right hand.
Touch left eye with right hand.
Touch right ear with right hand.
Touch left ear with right hand.
Touch stomach & navel with right hand.
Touch chest & heart with right hand.
Touch the head with the right hand
Touch right shoulder with right hand

Touch left shoulder with right hand


Using right hand, pull in middle finger and touch right side of nose with thumb and
index finger and left side with small and ring finger. Support right hand by putting
left hand palm under elbow of right hand and take a breath and say this Mantra:

Cover right ear with right hand and say this Mantra:
Take a flower, put a few grains of yellow rice and a drop of water and say this
Mantra:
Put in Name of year, sun phase, season, moth, fortnight Tithi . Your Name, Date of
Birth, Rasinaam Nakshatra Gotra where told to do so and say this Sankalp:

Take a flower, put a few grains of rice, a drop of water and say this Mantra:
(Call name / s of deities for whom puja / s are being done)

Using ring finger if right hand touch hardi and touch 4 sides of Kalsa starting from
the southern side clockwise. Do the same for the Kum-Kum and sindoor. Place a
little hardi and a few grains of rice into Kalsa with water. (Say this mantra while
doing the above)
(Say this pray three (3) times)

Place a flower upside down into the Kalsa mouth with your right palm and say the
following Mantra:

Dip the flower into the water in the kalsa and sprinkle on all Pooja items saying this
mantra:
Dip flower in water and sprinkle murti and pictures saying this Mantra:
Dip flower in water and sprinkle yourself saying this Mantra:
Sprinkle whole place with water from flower.
Put flowers near murti or bedi
Put palms together in form of praying and say this Mantra:

Put palms together in form of prayer, bow head and say this Mantra:

Put hands in signal of calling and signaling seat of deity, paan leaf, throne, Bedi and
say Mantra:

Using water from blessed Kalsa, lotha or cup place two drops of water at the feet of
the deity and say this Mantra to wash feet:

Argyam
Using water from blessed Khalsa, lotha or cup, place two drops of water at base of
Murti to wash hands and say this Mantra:

Archamaneeyam
Using water from blessed Khalsa,lotha or cup, place three drops of water at base of
deity to drink and say this Mantra:

Snanam
Using water from blessed Khalsa, lotha or cup, place a few drops of water on the
deity to bathe the murti and say this Mantra:

Using water bathe the murti saying this Mantra:
(name of deity).

Using milk bathe the deity saying this Mantra:

Using Dadhee (curd) bathe the deity saying this Mantra:

Wipe Murthi dry
Offer a piece of cloth or cotton wool as cloth to deity saying this Mantra

Offer a janeu or a piece of wick in the form of a ring, as janeu and say this Mantra

Place chandan on forehead of deity and say this Mantra

Offer a little Hardi powder at base of deity and say this Mantra

Offer a little Kum Kum at the base of the deity and say this Mantra:

Offer a little Sindhoor at the base of the deity and say this Mantra:

Offer whatever else is there to offer including yellow rice money etc. at the base

Decorate the deity with Mala and flowers and say this Mantra:

NAAMA POOJA

Offer flowers or yellow rice (akshat) 108 times calling the 108 names of the deity .
Read Chalisa (s) of deity
ATAHA DHUPAM
Offer incense fumes to the deity, essence and say this Mantra:

ATAHA DEEPAM
Offer three wick light to deity and say this Mantra: (light with three wicks)
(name the deity)..

Hold container of three wicks in left hand, place flower and rice and drop of water
at the end of container in left hand and fan flames of three wicks with palm of right
hand towards deity and all other murti and pictures. At end offer two drops of water
on flower.
Touch flame with hand and touch both of your eyes saying this Mantra: (name of
deity)
ATAHA NAVEDYAM
Place in plate with parsad two paan leaves, two sooparees, flowers, rice, water and
toolsie leaves. Hold plate up. Touch plate with parsad to your head and heart then
to the feet of the deity or bedi three times saying this Mantra: Then place plate in
front of deity.

Take a little water in your right hand and circle your hand with the water clockwise
around the plate with the parsad three times. Then let the water fall through the tip
of your fingers on the outside of the plate and say this prayer:

Place one drop water from blessed Kalsa into the parsad and say this Mantra:

Wash hands with blessed water and using both hands, pass your hands palms facing
upwards from the plate of the parsad to the base of murti six times saying this

Break up a paan leaf and add to it (2) sooparee some clove and offer it at the base of

Take some of the blessed water in palm of your right hand and pass it clockwise
Around the plate with the parsad saying this Mantra and then let it fall through
your fingers outside the plate .

KARPOOR ARTI
Offer lighted camphor (Karpoor) in container to the deity waving it from left to
right at the base of the deity saying this Mantra , doing arti
Hold container with burning camphor in left hand, place flowers, rice and water
saying at the base of container in left hand, fan flame with right palm towards deity
saying this Mantra:

(Then turn around clockwise once with camphor and show camphor Arti to the
audience while turning around) say with them:
Place container on the ground. Take a flower and pass it clockwise around the flame,
touch your eyes with the flowers. Place the flower at the base of the deity and say
this Mantra:

Place two drops of blessed water on the flowers on container with camphor and say
this Mantra.(name of deity)
PERSONAL PRAYER
Take flowers, yellow rice, and water hold it in clasp hand and pray. This is your time
for your personal prayer. Also pray for others and say this Mantra:

PRADAKSHANA
Stand up and turn around clockwise three times saying this Mantra:
Touch the ground with your right hand, then touch your hand to your head and
heart and say this Mantra:

After last time do it once more and bow with clasp hands. Say this Mantra:

Touch both ears with hands on each sides and say this Mantra:
Fill your hands with flowers, place a few grains of yellow rice and few drops of
water, clasp hands and prayer saying this Mantra:

and pictures are within puja area)

Offer flowers at base of deity


Prostrate at the base of the deity.
Male - full (all limb) prostration.
Female - half way down prostration.
