Treasury Board / Conseil du Trsor

Acts as the governments management board. Provides oversight of the governments
financial management and spending, as well as oversight on human resources issues.
Is the employer for the public service, and establishes policies and common standards
for administrative, personnel, financial and organizational practices across government.
Fulfills the role of the Committee of Council in approving regulatory policies and
regulations, and most orders-in-council. Responsible for reporting to Parliament.
Il sagit du conseil dadministration du gouvernement. Le Conseil du Trsor supervise la
gestion financire et les dpenses du gouvernement et soccupe des questions relatives
aux ressources humaines. Le Conseil du Trsor est lemployeur de la fonction publique;
il tablit les lignes de conduite et les normes gnrales en matire dadministration, de
gestion du personnel, de finances et des pratiques organisationnelles pour lensemble
du gouvernement. Le Conseil du Trsor joue galement le rle du comit du Conseil en
ce qui a trait lapprobation de la politique de rglementation et des rglements, et de
la plupart des dcrets en conseil. Le Conseil du Trsor est responsable de rendre des
comptes au Parlement.
