The website Merriam Webster is about giving definitions to certain words in the case of the
research paper it gives the definition of art. Now this definition is relevant to the research paper
since the definition tells the readers what art is and it gives the foundation of the major theme of
the research paper. Which is art is art and nothing more, even when it does contain nudity.

This video that was in the Association Press Collection database, it is about how women in New
Delhi where offended and made a gallery close momentarily because they protest and stopped
the entrance to the Naked and Nude art exhibition. They believed that that art work was not art
work, it was just an excuse to show women in a bad way. Now this is relevant to the research
paper because it shows that people now days are not willing to see art as art, when it has nudity.

The article from Studies in art Education, is about some preadolescences boys experiences with
nudity. Its also about how applying nudity in art can be a more rich and fulfilling education for
the youth. Now this article is relevant to the research paper since it brings up two very important
points. First it brings up the point that adolescence need the exposure to a rich and full education,
not just a half way education. Secondly it brings up the point that nudity in the art of any art
work has a meaning behind it, it is not just nudity.

painting to the smallest detail. Telling the readers what the painting was based on, a poem that
was written by an ancient poet called Homer. Now this article is important to the research since,
the research uses the painting Birth of Venus as example of a painting that has nudity and the
website explains what the painting meant and what it was based on.

This is the painting Birth of Venus. It shows Venus riding a shell to an island. Being blown by the
winds of an angel blowing. Now this painting is relevant to the research since it is given as an
example of a painting that contains nudity. The reason it is give as an example is because it is a
timeless classic that contain nudity and its nudity contains a meaning behind it.

the research paper because it bring certain background information that without it I could say
that nudity in art has always been there.
