New technology is common, new thinking is rare.

Sir Peter Blake

During the first trimester, ULS students from Kindergarten through Fourth Grade engaged in
multiple endeavors using technology.
The Digital Photography Unit offered the children opportunities to explore the art of
photography along with the endless possibilities of filters and different tools embedded in iPad
applications.
From simple photos in which students were asked to depict nature, facial expressions or
objects, to complex combinations of overlays, watercolor effects, the art of close-ups and the
big idea of capturing that one special moment and making it last forever through photography.
Lower School students enjoyed countless discoveries through the lens of their tablets.

As educators we should help facilitate goals and help cast a vision for students that will, not only, stretch their
imaginations, but also their beliefs regarding what is possible
