Kreh. Lefty explains that majority of the books written on the history of fly fishing
cannot be accepted as one hundred percent true. He also acknowledges that this book by
Glenn Law is the most accurate fly fishing history around, not only that but it adds a
contribution to the way we enjoy the sport of fly fishing. Law tells us that knowing the
history of fly fishing has everything to do with catching fish. Fly fishing is a sport that
relies heavily on information. The fly imitation and knowledge of the water required to
be a successful fisherman can only be learned from those who have done it before you.
Law explains that this book is a concise history of fly fishing because it gives the
major touchstones and rights of passage and where they originated. He intends that the

Researches must take into account physical, chemical, and biological inputs to every
