MICOM S1 AGILE RELEASE: V1.0.1

This release provides a patch for the installation of Alstom Grid MiCOM S1 AGILE V1.0.1.
MiCOM S1 Agile V1.0.0 must be installed before you can use the patch.
The patch allows you to configure Ethernet-based IEDs that use the latest software version.

IMPORTANT POINTS WHEN INSTALLING

This installation:
is to be downloaded to your hard disk for later installation by running the .exe file
should be used only if MiCOM S1 Agile V1.0.0. is already installed
retains all existing MiCOM S1 Agile systems, or projects
retains all installed MiCOM S1 Agile data models
does not require any conversion of existing files
can be run multiple times
requires that the user has administration rights on their PC

NEW FEATURES
Alstom Grid MiCOM S1 AGILE V1.0.1. is a new software patch. It provides the following
enhancements compared to MiCOM S1 Agile V1.0.0.

IED Software Support

The patch allows you to configure Ethernet-based IEDs that use the latest version of relay software
version.

Ethernet Hot-Standby Configuration

The IEC 61850 IED Configurator tool has been upgraded to provide Ethernet hot-standby settings.
The current version of IEC 61850 IED Configurator is now V3.1.1.7.

KNOWN ISSUES
Legacy tools do not support P40 Agile IED USB Connection
Legacy MiCOM S1 tools have not been developed to support a front USB connection to Agile IEDs.

Installation Warning for P40 Agile USB Drivers

P40 Agile USB drivers are signed with a user certificate. This causes Windows XP to display a
warning indicating that the software does not pass Windows Logo testing. This warning is normal.

#1689 - USB connection must be re-established to device if host USB port is changed.
If a connection to a P40 AGILE device is changed from one USB port to another on the users PC, S1
Agile will not automatically use the new COM port that has been created and a new connection to the
IED must be made.

#1680 Sending files in Programmable Curve Tool after device times-out or is rebooted.
If a device times out or is rebooted, the Programmable Curve Tool can not send a curve file to the
device. A connection can be re-established by downloading a curve file from the device.

#341 - Extracting settings files for P632

It is not possible to extract settings files for legacy P632 devices with MiCOM S1 Agile. This is an
inherited issue from previous MiCOM Studio releases.

WINDOWS COMPATIBILITY
V1.0.1 is compatible with and verified on Windows XP(SP 3) and Windows 7.

The following applications in the S1 AGILE V1.0.1 toolsuite are not verified for Windows 7
compatibility.

Device Text Editor (Menu.exe)

To ensure that S1 Agile is displayed correctly using Windows 7 use a (100%) DPI screen size. Select
Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display.

V1.0.1 is not fully designed for or verified on Windows 8.
