Getting to Reading:
By Train:
- From London Paddington: every 3-5 minutes; duration 24min 1h.
Cheapest single: 22.70 (15 with railcard)).
- From London Waterloo: every 5-10 minutes; duration 1h 1h25.
Cheapest single: 16.70 (12 with railcard))
- From Bath: every 30 minutes; duration about 1h.
Cheapest single: 25 (16.50 with railcard)
- From Nottingham: every 30 minutes for the cheapest; duration about
3h.
Cheapest single: 35 (29.70 with railcard)
- From Canterbury: Every 30 minutes; duration 2h-2h30min.
Cheapest Single: 42.70 (28.20 with railcard)

By car:
A lot of you will be finding yourself at Junction 11 as you come into
Reading. From there, follow the M4 towards Wharfedale Road in Winnersh.
Then take the exit toward Winnersh/Woodley/Earley/A329. The A329(M) will
take you to the University.

Accommodation (a few available options):

Premier Inn Hotel: If you have taken our full accommodation package,
then you will be staying at the Premier Inn in Central Reading.
o Check-in: From 2pm on 27th November. You will be able to
check-in both for the hotel and the conference in the lobby,
where members of our team will welcome you.
o Check-out: Before 12pm on 29th November.
o Directions: Take bus #21 to bus stop London Street Foot then
walk back towards the road intersection and take a left onto Mill
Lane, then left onto Church Street. The hotel will be at you right.
Novotel:
o Directions: Walk down Station Road (where buses are parked),
then turn left onto Friar Street. The hotel will be on your right.
Ibis Hotel:
o Directions: Walk down Station Road (where buses are parked),
then turn left onto Friar Street. The hotel will be on your right.
George Mercure Hotel:
o Directions: You can walk from the station along Station Road
(where buses are parked), continuing straight ahead onto
Queen Victoria Street then turning left on Broad Street and
going all the way down until you are at the end of the pedestrian
road. There you will see the hotel across the street on the right.
Hillingdon Prince Hotel:
o Directions: Take bus #21 from the station and stop at Vicarage
Road. You will have passed the hotel on your left, you can walk
back to it. This hotel is not indicated on the map below.

The Pavilion

Friday:
o The Pavilion (aka. Lifespring Church): This is where
registration and the opening ceremony will be held (registration
will be opened from 4pm up to the opening ceremony).
Address: 143-145 Oxford Road, Reading RG1 7UY
From the town centre: It is only a short walk from the
Mercure George hotel, on the main pedestrian road
called Broad Street, which then transforms into Oxford
Street. Cross the A239, and the Pavilion will be on your
left right after you pass Trinity Pl. on your right.
o Sakura: After the opening ceremony, we are going out to one of
the best clubs in town!
Directions: 10 minute walk from the Pavilion, we will walk
there in a group but in case you get lost, the address is: 5
Gun Street, Reading RG1 2JR
Saturday:
o RUSU (29 on campus map): The conference will be held in our
Student Union.
o Island Bar: Taxis will pick us up from campus to go there in a
group. Please note that taxis will not be paid for by the
University.
