Step 2: Articulate Objectives and Standards
Standard: G-GMD.1 Give an informal argument for the formulas for the circumference of a
circle, area of a circle, volume of a cylinder, pyramid, and cone. Use dissection arguments,
Cavalieris principle, and informal limit arguments.
Standard: G-GMD.3 Use volume formulas for cylinders, pyramids, cones, and spheres to solve
problems.
Objective: GEOM1. intuitive understanding of points, lines, and planes; collinear and coplanar;
concept of intersection
Objective: GEOM2. notation for points, lines, and planes: points (capital roman, A); lines
(lowercase script ` , or AB); planes (uppercase script P , or three noncollinear points ABC
Objective: GEOM3. space (the collection of all points); geometric figure (a subset of space)

Step 5: Evaluate and Revise the Design
At the end of all Kahoot quizzes are a few questions that allow students to rate the quiz and tell if
they learned something from the activity. We can improve our quiz from student feedback.
Lesson Plan
Step 1: Ready the Learner
The warm up questions will be on topics previously learned to refresh the students memories
and prepare them for the new class material
Step 2: Target Specific Objectives

Step 3: Prepare the Lesson
Prepare the classroom: The warm up will help prepare the classroom for the day and help them to
focus on the Geometry (the days topic)
Summarize daily plan:
Provide a Pre Organizer: To let students know what they are responsible for learning we will
display the learning objectives on the second slide of the powerpoint before beginning their
notes.
Use Motivators: Kahoot quizzes are fun and competitive which makes students more motivated
to pay attention and focus.

Build Bridges to Prior Knowledge: The warm up questions will evoke reflection on prior
knowledge which will be used in the lesson.
