Negligence

It is thoughtlessness, careless conduct, a failure to take proper care. Then ,

negligence can be something that occurs in everyday life , such as a Council that fails
to repair the pavement properly , resulting in an injury to a pedestrian, and this is one
type of negligence called general negligence. Next, professional negligence can arise
in which someone is professing particular skill, such as a doctor, a teacher, a vet, an
accountant or a solicitor, to name a few. If you contributed to your injury or loss then
the compensation payable by the person who committed the wrong is liable to be
reduced. This can even be to zero. For example, if you are injured in a car accident
but were not wearing a seat belt you might be held partly to blame for your injuries.
Every year thousands of Construction Workers suffer injuries as a result of the
negligent acts of employees of other contractors and the failure of companies with
construction site safety responsibilities to carry out their duties in a reasonable
manner. There are regulations, statutes, ordinances and industry standards that
mandate a safe working environment for construction workers. Unfortuantely, in
many cases, we have found that these safeguards have been ignored and violated by
General Contractors and others who are in charge of safety on Construction Sites,
resulting in serious injury and loss of life. Hazards posed at Construction Sites include
unsafe scaffolds, ladders and supports , lack of fall protection , improperly operated
heavy equipment , defective tools, failure to provide proper lifting equipment ,
improperly braced excavations and exposure to electricity and toxic materials.

Unsafe conditions exist at every construction site. If you have suffered injuries
at a construction site due to the careless or reckless actions of another person or entity,
you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries. There are common types of
negligence at construction site, there are open holes, unsecured staircases ,
malfunctioning equipment and machinery , loose materials and debris that can fall
easily, faulty scaffolding , unsafe storing and handling of hazardous materials like
silica or asbestor and others. Finally, negligence claims must be filed within a certain
amount of time after an accident take place.
