Objective
I am seeking part or full-time employment as an American Sign Language teacher. Teaching anywhere
from two to four classes would be ideal. I have also been a sign language interpreter professionally for
over 18 years and could fulfill full-time requirements by providing interpreting on campus.

K-12 Teaching
Pleasant Grove High School (UT) after school ASL club. Co-taught with Karen Burningham. (19931994)
Canyon Crest Elementary School (UT) Special Education/Autistic Spectrum contained classroom.
(1997-1998)
Spanish Fork High School (UT) ASL 101. The course was run by Utah Valley State College (now Utah
Valley University) community education. (1997-1998)
Timpanogos High School (UT) ASL 101 & 102. (1998-1999)
Keaau Elementary School (HI) ASL Specialist. Worked with mainstreamed deaf/hh children on
improvement of ASL vocabulary, academic sign language skills, and storytelling. (2012-2013)

Other Workplace-specific workshops given to local businesses interested in bettering their interactions
with the deaf community. Local hospitals, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, University of
Hawaii, Hawaii Community College, and teachers preparing to interact with deaf/hh children for the first
