CT discussing first two chapters of 26 Fairmont Ave with Ss using chart.


Most Ss are attentive and participating. CT asking questions about setting,
characters, problem. CT writing answers on chart.
Ss are helping to complete chart and seem to understand concept.
Transition to small group at table with others working with MT.

Content is accurate.

CT most of these questions were about details from the book referring to
character/setting/problem

CT seems more comfortable with these fourth graders. She is prepared for the
lesson and was also able to move to a small group when asked by MT. She
immediately began working with Ss on the small group activity.

Involve students in
the learning activity

Some Ss were not engaged in lesson be sure to include everyone. Work on


calling on more than just a few Ss during the lesson and give opportunities for Ss
to do some of the work (showing book under document camera, writing in an
answer on the chart, asking a question to the other Ss, etc.)

Need to work on making transitions smoother, but this will come with time.
