Process: (In detail)

Warm-ups
o Have students set up their bell kits and drum pads
o Split the students up, having some play on the bells and some play on the drums
o Warm-up on number 16
Make corrections when necessary
o Have students switch and play again
Essential Elements
o Play through numbers 17-18, all on the bells, ensuring that students are playing
the correct notes and holding out each note for its appropriate number of counts
Answer any questions students may have
o Split students up, having half of them play on the drums and half on the bells.
Have students critique each other after each run through.
o Fill in number 19 as a class
Closure
o Have students practice numbers 20-22 on the bells and drums and fill out their
practice charts for next class.

o Observe students throughout class to ensure that everyone using the correct
fingerings, demonstrating correct playing posture, and breathing.
