In this memo, I will provide an autobiographical
sketch about my life, including my personal
background, interests, and dedication to this
course.

About Me

The person I am today reflects the great example
provided to me by my hard-working parents, as
well as my desire to achieve. I was raised in
Muenster, Texas, as the youngest of three
children, constantly surrounded by the love and
support of my immediate and extended family.
Because of this support, I was active and successful
in athletics, academics, and the community.

This picture was taken in Itlica,
Academic Interests
Spain. I like it because it embodies

my adventurous spirit!
My dedication to learning is one of my defining
characteristics. I am currently a senior in the
Honors College, majoring in Exercise and Sport Science with minors in
Chemistry, Biology, and Spanish. I am also a pre-medical student and was
accepted this past spring to the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School
of Medicine, where I will begin in the fall of 2016. I am pursuing a career
in medicine for many reasons, including my love for the sciences and my
compassion for people who need help.

Personal Interests

Even though school is important to me, I try to find time for myself to
exercise or spend time with friends and family. Because of my athletic
background, I enjoy going for long runs to clear my head after a long day.
During study breaks on the weekends, I like to relax with friends by
cooking dinner together or going to the movies. Furthermore, after studying
abroad in Spain last summer, it is my life goal to travel the world so that
I can experience new cultures.

My dedications to family, school, and myself have been critical to my

successes so far in life. The same devotion will be applied to this course,
and I do not foresee anything affecting my performance or desire to learn.
