TEXT 2 The Pumpkin and the Horse

There was once a farmer who worked day and night. He was very
hardworking. One morning, he found that one of the pumpkins in his patch had
grown very big!
He then had an idea. I will give this pumpkin to the king. Im sure he has
never seen such a big pumpkin before. He will be very pleased with this.
The next day, he went to the palace and presented the pumpkin to the
king. The king was so pleased with his present that he gave the farmer a horse.
This will help you on the farm, said the king.
Soon, this became the talk of the town. A wealthy horse breeder, who
heard of this incident, had an idea on how to gain favour from the king.
If the king gives a horse for a pumpkin, I wonder what he will give me if I
present him with a big horse!
The following day, he chose the biggest horse from his stable to present to
the king. When the king saw the horse, he knew what the rich man was after. He
accepted the present and turned to his officer and said, This man has given me
such a fine present. Please reward him with that huge pumpkin.
