Government of India under Foreign Trade Policy have come up with Service Export from
India Scheme 2015 2020 (SEIS) where companies are incentives for certain services
exported and they earn foreign exchange in return. Benefits range from 3 to 5 % on the Net
Foreign Exchange Earnings in a financial year. The benefits are issued in the form of Duty
Credit Scrips, which can either be used to pay Custom Duties, Excise Duties, Service Tax or
can be monetized (SCSPL can arrange for the monetization of Duty Credit Scrips). STPI and
EOU units are exempt from this scheme
