Facilitated the daily operations of a 120 child-capacity, NAEYC Accredited center. Assisted with the development and
implementation of center goals and expectations. Ensured compliance with Head Start Performance Standards (HSPS),
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and organizations policies & procedures. Monitored
effectiveness of teaching teams, volunteers, family service workers and staff.
Exceeded goals listed on School Improvement Plan in the areas of attendance, recruitment and parental
involvement.
Assisted with development efforts in program expansion for the Head Start and Early Head Start Program.

Provided leadership motivation, direction and training to 200+ students. Implemented framework vital to new student
services, student satisfaction, career-development and student events. Developed programs for student retention

2000-2003
Overseen the general operations of Special Education, while providing accurate reports, budgets and monitoring reviews to
the Director of Education. Managed database and records of 100+ students in the Special Education Program. Developed
modification plans and Individual Education Plans for students with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Speech Impediments and
Behavioral Problems in conjunction with the IEP Team. Overseen overall effectiveness for all Child Study Teams throughout
district for Pre K-12 population. Member of the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team.
Established Child Study Teams, also known as IAT teams, in school sites throughout district to track at-risk
students referred to special education. Collaborated with School Psychologist on educational and behavioural
interventions.
