INTRODUCTION
The model of care that I have chosen to present for my individual
presentation is the Public Health Nursing Model. This model of care
interestsmebecauseIcurrentlyworkasaPublicHealthNurse(PHN)inthe
nurturing parenting program for the Oakland County Health Department
(OCHD).Ifeel,helpingpeopleinthecommunitythroughthisprogramcan
introducepositivechangeintheirlives.Ialsobelieveinpreventionrather
thantreatingwouldbenefitboththecommunityandtheorganization.(Kuss,
