Screen
The monitor is the piece of computer hardware that displays the video and
graphics information generated by the computer through the video card.
Monitors are very similar to televisions but usually display information at a
much higher resolution because they are usually smaller than the
televisions.
Screen resolution seriously affects graphical performance as this depends
on the graphics card that is used. For example a screen resolution of
1920x1080 would need a really good graphic card to be able to function to
its maximum potential; for example a 4670 graphics card would be very
weak for a screen resolution of 1920x1080, a screen resolution of
1920x1080 would need a 5770 graphics to be able to maximise its
potential. However a screen resolution of 1600x1200 would not need such
a powerful graphics card since the width and height of the pixels is less
which means that the weaker graphics card
would have an easier time to render
all the pixels.

499 which is much greater
than that of the 1920x1080
monitor.

Graphics tablet
A graphics tablet is an input device consisting of a
flat, pressure-sensitive pad which the user draws on
or points at with a special stylus, to guide a pointer
displayed on the screen.
The graphics tablet enables
users to hand draw images
which is very useful when
designing images and art; it
is also quite handy with graphics as they can
capture data or hand written signatures. As you can see on the right the
cost is relatively high for graphical tablets as they are very innovative
pieces of technology especially when designing.

Mouse
A mouse is a small handheld device which is moved across a mat or flat
surface to move the cursor on a computer screen. Without a mouse the
computer would be unusable as there would be nothing to move the
cursor. They are one of the prime factors which enable computers to

operate and complete their tasks. Below is an example of a mouse and its
price, as you can see the price of a computer mouse is actually really
quite cheap as it is only a mere 4.69.

Digital Camera
A digital camera is a camera which produces digital images that can be
stored in a computer and displayed on screen for example a computer
screen. Below is an example of a digital camera, they are not too cheap
on the current market; even the one below is 179 but the price was
reduced to 119 which is still quite a considerable price. However they are
very beneficial especially if you are going to work with graphical design as
they guide the way very easily and clearly.

Scanner
A scanner is a device for examining, reading, or monitoring something, in
particular a device that scans documents and converts them into digital
data or makes copies of already existing documents. It is used in
businesses for making multiple copies of confidential documents as copies
are always good to have. As you can see below a scanner is definitely
affordable as the the cost is just under 40 being 38.49 to be exact and
every business is bound to have one of these as they will have plenty of
copying to do especially when it comes to important and private files.

USB Storage Device

A Universal Serial Bus (USB) is the most popular connection used to
connect a computer to devices such as digital cameras, printers,
scanners, and external hard drives. USB is a cross-platform technology
that is supported by most of the major operating systems. A USB storage
device is mostly used as a portable piece of hardware to transfer data
from one hardware to another. Below is an example of a USB which has a
staggering 64GB of space and is only 3 which is a huge bargain as most
USB would not go for that type of price.

Hard Drive
The hard drive (HD) or sometimes referred to as the hard disk drive (HDD)
is the computer's main storage media device that permanently stores all
data on the computer. Most computer hard drives are in an internal drive
bay at the front of the computer and connect to the motherboard.
Likewise like the RAM, the greater amount of space on the hard drive the
better the computer will function overall for instance an average
computer has a 250GB hard drive but the better faster processing
computers will have 750GB and maybe even 1TB hard drives to maximise
efficiency.

Here is an example of a
750GB Hard Drive and as
you can see it is pretty pricy
at a price of 40.07 but the
cost is definitely worth it as
it will give mass amounts of
space as well as speeding
up the computer overall
because
of
the
mass
amounts of free space.

Graphics Card
The graphics card in your PC converts video data into electronic signals
and sends them to your monitor. The monitor accepts the graphics card
signals and turns them into colourful images. The process happens fast
enough to handle videos, games and other media. Once again the better
graphics card will of course prove for a better experience, a better
graphics card will also be able to handle higher screen resolutions easier;
for example the 5770 Graphics Card will be able to handle screen
resolutions like 1920x1080 whereas the 4670 Graphics Card would not be
able to handle 1920x1080 as well as its superior counterpart that is the
5770 Graphics Card.

Processor
CPU stands for central processing unit. The CPU is the heart and logic
circuitry of a computer; it responds and processes the basic instructions
that operate a computer. It is more commonly known as the processor but
it actual formal name is the CPU and this determines how good your
computer will run. If you have a very small and old processor then it will
be no good for the newer computers. Some users even have to processors
to maximise the efficiency and to improve for example their gaming
experience.

RAM
RAM stands for Random Access Memory; RAM is the place where computer
software like the BIOS, computer applications and data in use are stored
so that they can be quickly and easily accessed by the CPU. Also the more
RAM a computer has the more things it can do at the same time for
example an 8GB RAM will be able to do much more things then an
average 4GB RAM as well as being generally faster overall.
Below are examples of
an 8GB and 4GB RAM
and as you can clearly
see the 8GB is far
better as well as being
much more expensive
being priced at 32.39
compared to the 4GB
RAM which only costs
7.13. Due to this we
have a clear winner
which one is better.
