    seemsrighttoaman,butintheenditleadstodeath.InourinterviewwithBen,hedescribed
    howthewayoflifethatgetstheinmatesintoprisonisjustaresultofthesepeopletryingtodo
    rightbythemselvesandbytheircommunity.Hesuggestedthattheinmatesarentwillful
    criminalsbutrathervictimsofcircumstanceandthatifwewereinthesamecircumstanceswed
    mostlikelyendupthesameway.

    ministeringtotheneedybuthowoftendowedothesame?
    CulturallyourviewshavebeenchallengedinthatPrisonerRehabilitationmostoften
    workswiththosethatsocietylikestohide.Wehavetobroadenourperspectiveandunderstand
    thatthiscycleofmanyoftheinmatesispartoftheirwayoflifeandnecessarytosurvivalintheir
    circumstances.Wehavetoseekoutthesepeopleevenmoresoinordertoformbondsoftrust
    thathavebeenbrokenbyourcultureandtoministerChristthroughloveandChristian
    fellowship.
    d.Themostsignificantthingwelearnedasagroupfromthisexperienceisthatthereisa
    needinPrisonRehabilitation.Notjustinthosethatphysicallygotominister,butalsoin
    financialsupportandsupportthroughprayer.
    e.Jesussministrywasverypractical.WhenHesawaneedHeministeredandHecalls
    ustodothesame.
    Culturallywelearnedthatwearevictimsofcircumstanceasmuchastheseinmatesare.
    Ifwehadbeenbornreversecircumstances,wewouldlikelybetheonesbehindbars.Allpeople
    fallshortofGodsglory,ourjobasChristiansistobuildeachotherbackupbyministeringto
    oneanothersneedsandencouragingoneanotherinourfaith.Allthisregardlessofwhowewere
    orwherewecamefrom.
