Learning Compact
At VSE we have a learning compact between students, parents, and staff. We
go over expectations and goals for the year. The focus of the school / staff is
to:
1. provide a caring, positive, safe place for learning.
2. provide meaningful, effective learning opportunities.
3. communicate with parent and child about schoolwork and homework.
4. send home necessary materials to help students.
5. encourage respect for others and acceptance of differences.
Current Partnerships
We have several partnerships with various companies and organizations in
Sumner County, specifically the city of Gallatin. Our biggest partnership is
with Sumner Regional Medical Center. They help to promote science, health,
and reading. Commerce Union Bank assists in providing supplies for our
most at risk students. The Gallatin Rotary Club donates a bike every month
for students that exhibit excellent citizenship. We also have partnerships with
various churches throughout the county that provides snacks for our
students that are unable to bring one to school everyday. Jumpkins is a
partnership with the Jump Rope for Heart Association to promote heart
health and the benefits of exercise.
