Two shortlisted candidate responded to the interview invitation and four shortlisted
candidates did not respond at all to the interview invitation.
Two interview was conducted on Friday, 6 February 2015 via a telephone call.
Because the advertisements were active for a period up to 14 days, it is a usual

Rocco is a candidate who has completed a Diploma in Sports Medicine, the Football
Federation Australia AFC C Licence Football Coach and the Australian Strength &
Conditioning Association Level 2 Strength & Conditioning Coach. However, Rocco
has not completed a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance or
Sports qualification which is an essential criteria for the Football Coach position.
Rocco has approximately 8 years experience as a Football Coach and was a former
professional football player. However, he has limited knowledge of sports science.
Rocco has good communication and interpersonal skills. However, it is a concern
that he does not have a structured approach to time management. Therefore, he
may find it challenging to fulfil the duties of the Football Coach position at Australian
Elite Soccer/Football Academy.
In addition, Rocco is expecting a salary of $70,000 - $85,000 + superannuation and
is reluctant to negotiate. Australian Elite Soccer/Football Academy cannot afford to
offer this salary to the Football Coach position.
Rocco appears to be a positive and friendly person who is passionate about football.

Despite devoting greater than reasonable effort into finding a suitable domestic
