Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Rabecca Daniels and I will be your childs Spanish teacher for the 20162017 school year. I am excited to get to know each student and see what they bring
to the classroom! I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish, focusing on linguistics, and
a certificate in Secondary Education.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment for everyone so I expect each
student to contribute to that environment. This includes participating in activities,
being respectful of others, and having an open mind when it comes to learning
about the cultures of those who speak Spanish.
Please take the time to read, check off, and sign the attached form. I have listed all
the video clips and songs that the class will be using. In addition, throughout the
school year I will be sending home announcements of Hispanic cultural festivals and
activities around the Valley. Attendance is not mandatory, but it could provide a
great opportunity for your children to practice using Spanish and relate their
experiences to what they have learned in class.
I hope to encourage each student to reach their potential academically and to think
about their current education as well as their future. There are many advantages to
learning a second language and I am glad to share my passion of Spanish, and the
cultures that speak it, with your child.
