Mr. and Mrs. Johnson,

I am Ms. Daniels, Arthurs Spanish Instructor, and am writing to inform you
that he has been actively participating in class and works well with other students.
However, he has not been consistently turning in his homework. He is missing the
last 5 worksheets from his Spanish workbook and his paragraph on weekend
activities. His grade has been steadily declining and I am concerned about this
continuing to the end of the semester.
Arthur stated that many times he forgets about his Spanish homework due to
his high involvement in extracurricular activities. If this is the case, I suggest that he
purchase a planner or small notebook to write down his assignments and their due
dates. If that does not help and his pattern continues, I would like to set up a
meeting with both of you and Arthur so we can discuss other solutions. If these
assignments are not turned in, he will receive a zero for them, which would bring
down his grade.
Arthur is a bright student and there is still time for him to improve his grade.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your support
in Arthurs education.

Sincerely,
Rabecca Daniels
Spanish Instructor
