To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Samira El Bedawi, a Registered Nurse on a medical-surgical unit at St. Josephs
hospital in Tucson, Arizona. As Katelyns preceptor for five weeks during her senior
preceptorship, I highly recommend Katelyn Tamaray for the positon as a Registered Nurse.
During this time, she worked in many environments and demonstrated superior patient-centered
care, excellent communications skills, and organizational skills required of an outstanding RN.
Katelyn is able to work independently and confidently. At the end of five weeks, Katelyn needed
minimal assistance; she provided the care for all six patients independently, managing her time
and prioritizing her patients needs effectively. Katelyn's ability to utilize critical thinking and
nursing knowledge in order to deliver individual, holistic, patient-centered care will be the
strengths she brings. Each nursing skill she performed, such as medication administration,
ambulation, and wound care were always done safely and through evidence-based practice. She
communicates proficiently, when giving and receiving report from other nurses. Her assessments
and documentation were always done thoroughly. Lastly, Katelyn was able to demonstrate quick
responses to emergency situations by knowing her resources and whom to call for help.
In my professional working relationship with Katelyn, I recognized her heart-felt compassion
towards patients, their families and the genuine desire to help others. She is an outstanding
patient advocate and was able to build a rapport with all her patients as well as their families and
her colleagues. Katelyns willingness to help me, other nurses and staff members on the floor, is
evidence of her value as a team member.
Katelyn brings a positive attitude to the unit with an eagerness to learn something new. During
her preceptorship, we were floated onto different units and Katelyn was able to adapt to new
environments and situations. I believe Katelyn's greatest strength is her flexibility with a
readiness to meet new challenges with professionalism. She continually seeks evaluations, can
maturely process feedback and thrives on improvement to the benefit of her patients. Katelyn is
dedicated, committed, and a hard worker. I believe she will be an excellent nurse.
Sincerely,

Samira el Bedawi (RN)
