Preposition words and numbers / English

Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)


Take students to the carpet ( ask about the date, days in a week, months in a year, take the attendance,
and the day of today).
Show the pupils a video about preposition, and video about the numbers written in letters. Then, I will
use the flash cards to review the preposition. I will ask the students to look around the classroom and
point any numbers they may see. (Engage, explore, extend, and explain).
Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)
The first I will show the students a picture and ask each group to describe the picture in a sentence
using numbers and the preposition. But this time I will change the picture and show them a picture
with more verbs and prepositions. At the same time I will observe their pronunciation and grammar,
and correct their mistakes if found.
(Explain and extend).
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)
I will ask each group to draw a picture (playground), similar to the picture I showed them. Then, each
student from each group will give me a sentence about their picture using also preposition and
numbers. Discovery learning (Extend, explore, and evaluate).
Independent Experience (small group activity 2)
Solve the Puiplebook. It will be an exercise about numbers and preposition. (Evaluate).

Closing
Check the answers together. Work on writing the numbers, and the Puipel book.

Time:

Each group will get an envelope and in these envelopes, but this time I will put five different numbers
written in letters (twenty-one, thirteen, sixteen) for example. Then, each student will get one number
and write the numbers. (Extend and evaluate).

Assessment
Observing the students working on the activity. Ask the students questions using prepositions.
