My big ideas from the readings:
-Being diagnosed with a hearing loss earlier in life helps speech production and general development.
There werent any extraordinary differences between the children of normal cognitive ability despite age,
gender, communication mode, socioeconomic status, minority status and degree of hearing loss.

When working with children who have a hearing loss it is important to be patient, speak
clearly, and help them produce their consonants.
