Observation Task 5 and 6: Different learning styles

Focus: On the learner.
You will observe a learner.
Objective: For student teachers to gain an initial understanding of how learners
are different.

For this observation, you will begin by observing


the class for 1 hour.
1. What do you notice? Does the class have any strengths or weaknesses?
The teacher uses a different device, program and strategic to reach the
information and encourage them.
The students didnt be attention with the teacher because they play and talk with
his friend.
2. Are there learners who finish activities quickly? What do they do when they
have finished?
Yes, each student sit in his seat and be quiet.
3. Are there learners who do not finish a task(s)? How does the teacher deal
with them?
Yes, Give them more time ( 5 mins )
4. Are there any learners with special needs? How does the teacher meet their
needs?
Yes, Hasan is one of the special needs in a classroom. Hasan sits opposite of
teacher because when he need thing she help his. Also, to easily reach the
information.
5. How does the teacher manage learners with different levels/abilities?
The teacher put good students that have a high level next to the who have weak
levels because they share and help the other student, so it become good for the
teacher.

When you have made your notes, ask the teacher to help
you choose a learner in the class.
Observe one of the learners for the rest of the day and

Two activities they write the letters and read the letters .

She share with them and help him when they need something.

3. What was the longest period of time the learner spent focusing on one
activity?
They need a ten mins and more when they write the letters because they in
grade one.

4. What did the learner do during the break times?


They sit together and play. Some of them they do homework. Also, talk with the
teacher.

5. What did the learners attention span / interest during activities seem like?
When the teacher gave them to color letters.
6. What did the learner seem to like doing the most / least during the day?
Students prefer to writing while the least thing is reading.
