DESCRIPTION
Kahoot is a site designed for
interactive learning where
teachers can create short quizzes
for students to respond to on
their own individual devices.
There are pre-made quizzes that
other teachers have created and
made public on a variety of
topics and inclusive of all subject
areas. This can be a fun review
activity as well as provide very
useful formative assessment
information because of its ability
to give instant feedback. The site
also allows for students to play,
as a class, again and compete
against a previous score.

https://quizlet.com/

Quizlet is a free site that can be

incredibly useful for studying and
practicing a variety of skills
within all subject areas. There
are a number of premade sets
that can be accessed and used or
you have the option to create
your own. Within each set there
are a variety of tools that can be
used for studying including
flashcards (which are printable)
as well as a test on the material.
Students can be given the name
or link to the desired Quizlet set
and they can access it from
home to assist in their studying.

https://rewordify.com/

Rewordify is a fantastic resource

for teachers in all subject areas,
and even parents. With a variety
of reading levels within any
classroom, Rewordify helps to
differentiate reading passages.

You can cut and paste text, as

well as type it in, and then
choose the desired settings and
the site will break down the more
difficult words and make the
reading passage more
understandable for all readers.
You can print these new
passages off and distribute them
to the necessary students in
order to accommodate their
individual levels.

https://edpuzzle.com/

Ed Puzzle is a great tool for all

students, but especially those
that need to pause, rewind, and
replay instruction in order to fully
understand. Since this isnt
necessarily possible within the
day-to-day classroom, Ed Puzzle
allows you to upload videos from
a variety of sources and insert
text, questions, pauses, etc
within the video. The really neat
option you can also choose is to
not allow skipping, where
students have to progress
through and watch the entire
video and answer questions as
they go to ensure they
understanding the content.

mathcore/

This site is for middle school

math teachers, students, and
parents to use. There are a
variety of videos, not
screencasts, which help to
explain and model various topics.
The videos are classified by topic
and easy to navigate to your
desired lesson. The videos go
through and show concrete uses
of the mathematics that students
are learning.

This is a great resource for

middle school teachers in all
subject areas. The site has
everything broken down into
weekly discussions with the goal
of getting students to not only
address ongoing issues that are
important within the 21st century,
but discussing these issues using
correct academic vocabulary.
Thinking and talking about these
diverse topics allow students to
build on their reasoning skills,
enhances reading
comprehension, and the ability to
see issues from a variety of
perspectives.

https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/

This is a site that I stumbled

upon recently and I have really
come to enjoy. Although the
lessons within the site must be
purchased, they are at a nominal
price (I recently paid $2 for an
activity). The idea behind the site
is that teachers can upload their
lesson plans, and often unit
plans, for other teacher to access
and use. The money is then
given to the producing teacher,
hence the site name of teachers
pay teachers.

http://www.math-play.com/

Another math resource site, but

this time it allows students to
play various fun games online.
The games are broken down by
not only grade level, but content
as well. Students really enjoy
these games and can play
completely for free while
reinforcing the necessary math
skills.
