Can you specifically show me how this assignment has enhanced your

use of technology to create and write in multiple genres?

I can! I learned how to use Inkscape vector graphic software to
complete my multimodal project, which is in the genre of
infographic! And I am very pleased with how that turned out.
How about your research skills and avoiding plagiarism?
I found my sources much easier than I would have if I had been
completing this assignment without taking the course. I learned
how to correctly cite and quote, avoiding plagiarism
How about your critical thinking skills?
This project was very good at getting me to think about what I
would focus my project on. Having complete independence in
topic and genre of writing is very liberating and challenging at
the same time! It caused me to think critically very often.
What about reflecting on your writing and choices you made?
I think the reflections helped me stop and think about my
project a little more than I usually do. Normally I complete a
project, turn it in, and I never think about it again. This project
was always in the front of my mind in class, and I believe that is
because of the focus on reflection.
How did this project enhance your research skills?
I researched a very wide range of sources, I utilized Interlibrary
Loan in order to obtain one of my sources this was the first
time I have ever used our library here on campus!
The class in general: What do you think you should get (as a grade)?
How do you think the class went? Did you learn anything? How was
your house group?
I believe my work is worthy of an A; I was always on time for
every class, never missed one, and I always turned in quality
work on time, every time. This class was my most fun class this
semester, and I was delighted to have been a part of it. My
house group was lovely, and it was a fun way to get to know my
classmates.
Discussions/Journals/ Responses to Readings: respond to the
usefulness, timeliness, responses you got from others, and anything
else
The discussions, journals, and responses were a very nice break
in between work on the Extended Inquiry project. It was fun to
critique my classmates work, and have my work critiqued in
return. Hearing what my peers thought about the work I was

planning to do was very valuable to me; it served as a sign I was

on the right track.
Which of the individual claims you make in the projects are
strongest/weakest?
I think the strongest claim in my paper is my information on the
biology of hunger. My discussion of the three phases of hunger
flows well and is very educating. I think the weakest claim I
made was the topic that I had at the beginning of the project,
which I diverged from halfway through. That topic was too
broad and abstract.
Is there a piece that was more important for you and why?
Well, my favorite part of the project was the multimodal,
because I enjoy making visual art very much, and the graphic
design that went into that infographic was very entertaining.
Is there a piece that was more difficult for you and why?
I think the annotated bibliography was the most difficult in my
opinion. Not that it was hard to find sources and cite, my
sources were readily available the annotations for each source
was very time consuming. And as I was drafting my final
bibliography, I misclicked and closed out of the document,
having to start from the last draft. So I found it a bit tedious, but
it turned out well!
If you think you have learned to make connections between texts or
learned to apply ideas from texts into your life, show me where.
In my last paragraph of the final essay, I apply what I have
learned to discuss what happened to Chris as he starved to
death in Alaska; I could not have done as good a job without
what I have learned.
Did you discover anything new/interesting/insightful?
I used Inkscape to make my multimodal project. Im really proud
of the multimodal project :D
Much of this class rests on the assumption that you are self-motivated
to participate, read, ask questions, help your classmates, can (and
willing) to navigate Moodle and do what you need to do in order to
succeed in the class. Although I have my own view of who participates
and who doesn't, I would like your input here about yourself.
I feel as though I was very good about participating and helping
my classmates so I can succeed in the class. I never missed a
single day, I was always on time, my critiques of my classmates

work was always thorough and well-received, and I always

turned in quality work on time.
You registered for the class did you do all you could to succeed?
I wanted to make my final draft a video of me reading the paper,
like a science video on youtube, but I realized I have zero video
editing skills and I had run out of time, so I went with the essay
format. Other than that, yes, I believe I did everything I could to
succeed.
