What is GDP?
GDP stands for Gross Domestic Product. GDP represents the monetary value of all goods and services produced within a nation's
geographic borders. For example, in 2015 The United States had the highest GDP in the world, with $17,968,000,000. China was
second with $11,385,000,000.
GDP Per Capita refers to the Gross Domestic Product of a nation, divided by the number of people in the country. The per capita
GDP is especially useful when comparing one country to another because it shows the relative performance of the countries.
