Prompts:
Inquiry suggests the methods by which thinkers
obtain and synthesize knowledge of the world around
them. For architects, inquiry is achieved in large part
from what we call design process. Based on the
studio assignments youve completed so far, how
would you define design process?
Where have you found inspiration in developing your
awareness of architecture as a discipline? Describe
ways you have used this inspiration in your work and
assignments for studio.
What opportunities and resources are available
within the School of Architecture to enhance your
development as a designer? Describe specific
resources you have found and how you have used
them to inform your inquiry/design process and studio
work. What additional questions have emerged for
you as you have explored these new sources (what are
you curious about)?

Assignment Three Answer:**

My design process is really a feel good situation, I just
move elements until it looks or feels good. I dont believe I
have mastered the abilities of a practicing architect; its
only so much work so I can stay alive so to speak. I dont
see anything wrong with that though, even if its a bit
ethereal as far as detailed descriptions but my gut
feeling usually steers my designs in the right direction.
Most of my inspiration really comes from previous
projects, Ill think of something really cool and want to
incorporate it into the next model or section. Sometimes
though I cant really think of anything, and that hinders my
studio work greatly (like the journals). Its like I dont have
enough time in the day to properly give to architecture
and that causes some stress from day to day. It makes me
wish I could focus entirely on architecture instead of any
gen-ed classes. I know about the fab-lab and woodshop but
like I said before its enough work balancing architecture
and other classes, I would love to go spend time in the
woodshop but I cant. It makes me think that I will be
utilizing these later rather than sooner in my schooling
here.
