The first line of my portfolio and my teaching philosophy, I find it only fitting that it also be the first line of my final report since it was exactly what I found happened to me over my 4 months at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. Not only did I learn how to think about education, I leamed how to convey that lesson to my students as well. During my PSII internship at LCI, I was given a Science 9 and a Chemistry 20 class, as well as my own classroom in which to teach these two subjects. For 4 months that classroom became a second home where I developed lifelong learner and teacher skills that I will take with ‘me throughout not only my career, but also my life. was challenged every day to make science education interesting at the grade 9 level. To always think on my feet and fo prepare lessons that truly engaged the students and opened their minds to a worldly and hands-on way of seeing science.
