When he was 9nine years- old I would have him run college routes, and he would catch the ball with his hands!
Rickey Jones, 6six-foot-1one quarterback for the Alabama State University from 1987-1991, is
the father to said., 2014 University of South AlabamaUSA graduate, Jereme Jones, whom
inherited all of his fathers athleticism, but theres one trait that his father did not pass on his
height.
But he never let his 5--6 height deter him. I was in the second grade when I first started
playing football, and I quit because I didnt like the contact, Jones Jereme smiles and stares at
the floor while wearing a USA Jaguars shirt that shows off his 7.5 percent of body fat and
muscular definition. I played again when I was in the fifth grade for the CYO Catholic Youth
Organizations Wildcats. I played quarterback because I was fastest on the team and we didnt
throw the ballthe best one on the team. Jones would not quit football again.
Jereme entered the ninth grade at McGill Toolen High School in Mobile, AL. That year
he realized that he would not never be as tall as his father. Jereme stopped growing at 56, but
that would not stop him from being great. Nevertheless, The next year Coach Steve Savarese,
former then head coach at McGill Toolen, would named Jones a starter on the varsity football
team.
Coach Savarese bragged on Jones. saying, If I did get on Jereme, he recalled, Im sure
I did not have to do it twice! Jeremes parents raised him well, and he was always trying to do
the right thing.
Jereme would go went on the to help get his team to the fourth round of the play-offs his
junior year, which he finished with 11 touchdowns. That summer he went to a USA Jaguars
football camp. I almost didnt go because I didnt have the money to pay for the $25 entry fee,
says Jones, but my cousin came and picked me up and took me. Jones was offered a
scholarship on the spot after dominating during the one-on-one drills.
Jeremes college career was even more successful. than his high school career. Jones set a
high school record with 45 receptions, 7 seven touchdowns, 513 yards and 631 all-purpose yards
in 2012. He finished his college career with 142 receptions and 84 receptions and 140
touchdowns. Its amazingAmazingly, that six of his touchdowns came from Fade fade routes,,
a play designed to throw the ball up to the tallest taller receivers so they can out jump over the
shorter defenders. And in his senior year he was voted the 11th out of 14 most freakish athletes in
NCAA.
You did a good job narrowing the material and creating a good structure. Ill let the extra
47 words stand because I dont see where I could cut more.
