The Band started in October of 1970.

It consisted of Buck Edwards-Rythym and

Vocals; Doug Travers-Lead Guitars/Vocals; Harry Williams-Bass/Vocals; Chuck
Truesdell-Steel Guitar; Al Rapp-Drums (Then he used the name of Jimmy Edwards).

Then Harry Williams left after a couple years and was replaced by Jimmy Martin who
stayed for a few years. When he left Darrell Carlson took over the bass and vocals.
When Darrell left after a couple years Terry Dugay took over bass and vocals. Then
finally around 1982 and to this present time, John Dywer took the bass and vocals.

The steel players in the band consisted of Chuck for about 20 years. He was
replaced by Greg McClure for a short time, then Chuck returned. When Chuck left
Bruce Carlson took the steel guitar chores over. At present day Chip Heck plays with
us when needed. Bruce is callled on occassion and altough working with another
fine band he will fill in if he is available.

Lead guitarist Doug Travers stayed with the group about 20 yrs or so. Although in
the mid 70's Doug had moved to New Hampshire with his family. The area was not
to his liking and he came back and hooked back up as lead guitarist for the
Buckshots. Norman Cole filled in during Doug's abscence. Darrell Carlson, who
previously played bass with the band, also played lead guitar in the late 80's. Barry
Roma also did some lead work with the group in the late 80's after Doug left the
group,as well as Jeff Humiston who now plays key boards. At the present time, Zippy
Johnson is the lead guitarist for the group. Zippy has a great rockabilly sound.

Al Rapp was the original drummer and stayed some 20 plus years. He is now
working with another good country band. When he left a few others filled in
including the late Johnny Decker. Then Mike Ward was the main drummer for quite a
few years. He moved to Kentucky a couple years ago and is really missed. At the
present time Greg Gardner is the drummer for the band and is doing an excellent
job. He has the drive we have been looking for.

Dave Armstong, who played with the group in the early 80's, plays harmonica when
called upon to do so if he is available. Dave left in the late 80's to pursue his love of
the blues and organized a couple blues bands.

Jeff Humiston plays keyboards he was a former guitar player for 30 plus years. He
does a fine job and is self taught on the keyboards.

There have been many fine musicians that have worked with this group including
the great Gordie Titcomb, Shurtlu Ashe, Roger Cannavaro, Bruce Cannavaro, Ellen
Carlson, Charlie Pitchard, and Bruce Skoog Just to name a few.

Any studio recordings heard here at this time are from the early band consisting of
Buck, Chuck, Doug, Al, Darrell, John,Dave.

The live and later sounds are of the present day Buckshots. You will also hear some
early sounds of different stages of the group. We call this the "Buckshot Archives"
and we still enjoy the memories .

A new cd is in the works for 2011 which will feature all original music once again
written by Buck and other band members. Buck has been a member of BMI for
about 30 some years and all original music is registered with them.
