Mr. Thompson completed his sixteen weeks of student teaching in my Fourth grade collaborative dlassroom. Throughout his time at Harvie Elementary, Mr. Thompson was highly motivated to learn as much as he could and perform to his best capacities. He frequently put in long hours to develop lesson plans that were data driven and highly engaging for the students. ‘Mr. Thompson has several strengths, but his two main strengths are his abilty to build strong student rapport and create highly-effective lessons. Mr. Thompson was invested in the students from day one. He progress monitored and encouraged the students to always strive for excellence, He developed lesson plans that captured their attention and provided relevant learning experiences. Mr. Thompson engaged the students using manipulatives, other hands-on strategies, and developed lesson plans that were geared for muttiple modalities to ensure student success. For example, he used oreo cookies to represent and differentiate between the different phases of the moon. in summary, Mr. Thompson has displayed the qualities that make a teacher successful, He is dependable, highly motivated, and in tune with the students needs. He is able to analyze and interpret data to drive his instruction and knows how to reach the needs of all students. He understands the importance of meeting the students on their level and developing strong differentiated instruction to help all students be successful. He collaborates well with colleagues, administrators, and invested stakeholders to help ensure the success of the students and the ‘community. | highly recommend him for a teaching position.
