Defunding Planned Parenthood:

Planned Parenthood has been around for many

years always helping those who cant quite
afford to take the right precautions they need.
Not just females but males as well. This could
be anyone in your life: a sister, a friend or even
your mother. Anyone can go in and be taken
care of for a list of things such as; Birth control,
unplanned pregnancy, and even sexually
transmitted disease testing and treatment. If
Planned Parenthood is defunded it can affects
many people in many different ways. This could
result in higher co-pays, income based treatment
could also be taken away. Planned Parenthood
gives people and option to be responsible even
if they dont quite have the money. Planned
Parenthood provides essential services to over 5
million Americans. Only three percent of all
Planned Parenthood health services are abortion
services. From June 30th, 2013 June 30th,
2014 they provided 10,590,433 services for over
5,000,000 Americans (Obamacare, 1) (Page 3.)

Leonard Nemoy Dies Age 83

They wanted Leonard to attend

college maybe take up an
instrument. His Grandfather on
the other hand encouraged him
differently he encouraged him
to become an actor. At a young
age of 18 Leonard applied to
the Pasadena playhouse in
California. Upon being
accepting he moved to the
west coast of California to
carry out with acting. Leonard
loved the stage he loved being
able to explore different
concepts and roles. Only
being there for a short time
after a few months Leonard
quite he found the playhouse
be disappointing and not what
he thought it was

When taking time after the

Playhouse to find a different
opportunity Leonard chose to
serve in the military. He served
in the military for 18 months
leaving a sergeant. In the time
he spent in the military
Leonard was in the army
special services. Here he
would put on shows the he
would write wail they were
away. Leonard also did other
different jobs between castings
like driving a taxi cab.
Soon enough Leonards acting
career got steady work first it
began with small part and
lower budget movies like the
science fiction movie Them!,
and The Brain Eaters. Around
1960 Leonard Started to

premier in such series like

Bonanza, The Twilight Zone,
Dragnet, the Lieutenant.
Lieutenant brought him a lot of
attention with Gene
Roddenberry, he was the
shows producer.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

being his most popular, He
made TV guest appearances.
More toward the mid 70s the
Cartoon series was revived,
along with the old episodes of
Star Trek.

By Catching Genes attention

this eventually gave Gene the
idea that Leonard would be
perfect for a new upcoming
series. Leonard would be a
science officer and also an
alien. Leonard got the part of
the officer as what we know
today as Star Trek.
This began
Leonards legend he
held with his the rest
of his life, or as we
know him now
Spock. Star Trek
was never a big hit
series when it first
broad casted.
Leonard stayed with
Star Trek for all
three seasons they
were able to
broadcast. Leonard
stated, Spock is
definitely one of my
best friends. When I
put on those ears, it's not like
just another day. When I
become Spock, that day
becomes something special,"
(cnn).

This began a calling for the

major motion picture in 1979
Star Trek: The motion Picture.
This reunited the old cast, and
where Leonard got to return to
Spock. The first Movie was a
big success where Leonard
proceeded to be Spock in the

After the Short three seasons

Star Trek was on air he
remained busy. Quickly join in
the Mission: Impossible as a
man name Paris. Around the
70s he made a few movie

sequels.
The Star Trek movies didnt
only give Leonard a chance to
act but it also gave him the
chance to direct. He directed
both the third and fourth Star
Trek movies, The Search For
Spock (takes place after Spock
dies in the second movie, but
only to be revived in the later
movies), The Voyage Home.

Leonard was also able to direct

other movies after this such as
Three Man and a Baby, The
Good Mother and, Funny
about Love.
Although Leonard found time
to direct, the character Spock
kept him very busy but well
employed though out his life.
Leonard three Emmy Award
for Spock.
On top of acting and Directing
Leonard Also Wrote 2
autobiographies the first one in
1975 I Am not Spock and
the second one in 1995 I Am
Spock.
In the Last year Leonard
revealed to everyone, the after
three decades of smoking he
had developed obstructive
pulmonary disease. Even
quitting smoking three years
prior.
According to countless sites
and countless articles Leonard
was Spock and Spock was
Leonard. Leonard always stuck
to one saying throughout him
entire life. He would always
close messaged and that was
live long and prosper. Even
though he said it often Leonard
really did live by this saying.
Everything he did everything
he wrote brought him
happiness. Leonard was much
more than the Spock we with
think of he was an actor, a
director, a writer, a
photographer, a singer and a
song writer. Leonard stole our
heart with Spock and took us
beyond the stars.

Movie Review

Produced by Karl Hardman

and Russell Striener. This
movie starring Judith ODea,
Duane Jones, Marilyn
Eastman, Karl Hardman,
Judith Ridley, and Keith
Wayne. One of the best classic
zombie movies that began all
zombie movies.
The story begins with a brother
and sister (Barbra) driving up
to put a decoration on the
fathers grave while at the
cemetery they see a man. He
seems to be walking slow and
kind of odd. The man seem to
be disconnected from himself
in a trace like state. His
clothing appears to be slightly
torn. All zombies seem to act
in this disconnected state. The
man attacks the sister. The
attack is more like wrestling
its not like what we see today
with all the biting, scratching
and blood. The brother comes
to save her and ends up dying
after being attacked. Barbra
runs to safety she ends up
running to a farm house for
safety. She meets (a Black
Guy) that helps he board up
the windows to create a
fortress as zombies surround
the house slowly. Two guys
and a girl come up from the
basement and join the other
two and help protect the house.
But one guy quickly goes back
to the cellar and locks himself
inside. Down in the cellar there
is an older lady and a young
sick girl. In the end most of
them end up upstairs to keep

up on information with
attacking people. Eventually
they zombies brake through
and killing everyone before
they can make it to a safer
place. By this time there are
dozens more zombies.

The lighting throughout the

movie is very intense and
dramatic. But its appropriate.
I feel like the way they did the
lighting helps get across a
serious tone. The music helped
create intensity in certain
moment, also helps notify you
of important information such
as the t.v. and radio reports.
The zombies really stood out
they are decently dressed some
with suits with minor tears.
They walk and run almost as
well at the normal people.
They dont look extremely
dirty or bloody. But the way

they move, their trance like

state, and their snarl noises
seem to sell it. The movie
seems to have a dramatic
overtone this caries through
the music the lighting and even
in the way they speak. The
lighting and the music is what
really pulls this movie together
for me. For be it helps provide
seriousness to the movie and
keeps it from being silly. It
gives you a different
perception when you look at
the movie.
Overall this movie is well
crafted. There are tones that
carry throughout the whole
movie. They actors carry out
their roles well, and the
zombies are something of their
own. Watching this movie I
felt the seriousness of the
situation they were in. they
really provide you with a sense
of urgency throughout the
whole movie there is
something that always has to
be done right at the moment.
Everything is very on the edge
of your toes thinking. I really
enjoyed watching this movie it
was fun and exciting.
Defunding Planned Parenthood
What Does it Mean to Take
Something Away:

People are pushing to have

Planned Parenthood for many
different reasons. Planned
Parenthood has rules it has to
follow to receive the federal
funding. The federal funding
however can be used on almost
any service offered by them
except abortion. Federal
funding cannot be used for
abortion besides a few small

exceptions. Recently it has

been said the Planned
Parenthood has been miss
using the federal funding. So
many people have pushed to
have it defunded. And
currently will be defunded for
the following year. Passed
House without amendment
(09/30/2015). H.R. 719,
Prohibits, for a one-year
period, federal funds from
being provided to Planned
Parenthood Federation of
America, Inc., or any of its
affiliates or clinics, for any
purpose unless the entities
certify that they will not
perform abortions or provide
funds to any entity that
performs an abortion during
the period. Includes exceptions
for rape, incest, or a physical
condition that endangers a
woman's life unless an
abortion is performed..
Provides additional funding for
community health centers for
the one-year period and
prohibits the funds from being
used for abortions other than
the exceptions described
above. (Roby 1) this means
federal funding will stop for a
year, and additional funding
will be used in other health
centers. This could mean a lot
of different thing for everyone.
If the funding from planned
parenthood was moved to
community health centers it
wouldnt just focus on sexual
and reproductive health it
would focus on just about
anything. People may not be
able to get as much help as
Planned Parenthood would
provide.

Planned Parenthood provides

service for millions of people
every year. Obama Care states
One in five women use
planned parenthood. Its not
just abortions as a lot of people
tend to think. They provide
services for everyone females
and males. They provide
services for everyone and cater
to the lower level class making
sure everyone can keep their
bodies safe and protected.
There is no short of services
provided by them Adoption,
Birth control, general health
care, womens health and
more. For everyone that uses
Planned Parenthood this could
result in money that the some
people may not be able to
afford. It could mean less
protection and guidance and
more complications.
Planned Parenthood offers a
lot of services especially for
people who cant afford it.
With federal funding they have
been able to income-base
treatment, and provide
treatment for people dont
have enough money to take
care of themselves. They have
given females a place to get
proper checkups and routine
office visits to make sure they
are okay. Without federal
funding its hard to say exactly
what will happen.
