Inquiry Question: Should a curfew even exist?

Curfew is kind of a big thing in my life. My parents always tell, Dont come home
too late! Then I ask then, What is too late? They just tell me, Dont be too late.
Its a constant conversation we have. They dont give me a specific time to be
home, then I dont know what time to be home. I know they want to get home
safely. So maybe there just scared of me driving at night. I dont know. So I wanted
to do some compare and contrast with other peoples curfews and mine. I also want
to know what some other parents think, and give me some insight with my parents.

There is no author listed, so to whoever wrote this blog has made some good
points. There are a lot of reasons why young, teen drivers get into accidents
and should have a curfew. At night, there are more of a risk of endangering
themselves while driving. So a curfew seems like a good thing to enforce.
This article also mentions some statistics from the 1995, and how they had a
majority of a citys population had a curfew in place.

The author was not listed. In this New York Times article, they list some good
values that could be learned from curfews. The enforcement can promote
family values and reduce juvenile crimes. The rest of the article talks about
the effects of the curfew they have in some of the cities.

enforce. This gives us a slight overview how curfew was before and we can
compare it to now and see what is different.

social monitoring. Findings say that some are limited success. There are some
suggestions implications to future decisions for juvenile actions.

There are three major reasons why teens should have a curfew, and its
because of school, danger, and future. If teens are out pass 11, them its
more likely for them to get into accidents and trouble. During school, they
need their full attention, but if theyre out past 11 theyll have zero energy to

is no solid evidence if the curfew truly works. The article talks about in
previous yrs., there are some information about curfews and if they worked or
not. The author thinks the curfew policy is bad.
