Competency A Professionalism and Understanding:

You exhibited very satisfactory professionalism. You seem to have established
very good rapport with the learners and the school administration should
serve you well for the rest of the practicum. It was very helpful talking with
your MST about your progress. It was very encouraging to get positive
feedback about your progress thus far.

Category B Planning for Learning:

A satisfactory lesson plan was provided in time before the lesson an
adjusted version was presented at the beginning of the lesson. The material
and content of the lesson were appropriate for the class level. Very good
improvement on the statement of learning outcomes. The quality of the
accompanying teaching aids suggested that a lot of time and effort went into
the preparation for this lesson.

Category C Implementing and Managing Learning:

The lesson began very promptly with a quick roll call. Then the students were
engaged in a quick review of the previously covered material. Then they were
given a puzzle to decipher the topic of the lesson - one of the groups worked
it out very quickly- ANIMATION. Then the students were presented with the
objectives of the lesson - good idea getting a volunteer to read aloud off the
board. The next activity - a quick brain storm about animation from their prior
knowledge was very satisfactory. You also did very well allowing for the
students to complete the Mind Map on the board. The student responses
suggested that the students had relevant prior knowledge to enhance
grasping of new information. Then each group was assigned a sub-topic to
gather information o n and then be ready to "teach" their peers. The students
seemed engrossed in this activity. The group presentation of the findings
went very well indeed - in particular, allowing for the students to provide a
demo of their response worked great. Moreover, allowing for interaction

between the presenters and their peers. This activity was interrupted by the
bell but the last group was given an opportunity to present their response.
You did well to clarify the homework activity.

Category D Monitoring and Assessment of Learning:

You continue to use Q & A very efficiently to elicit desired responses from the
learners.
You also continue to provide very satisfactory scaffolding for the learners
during all tasks.

Category E Reflection:
Your self-evaluation was very good. Your reflections continue to be spot on.
Engaging in critical self- appraisal should enhance fine tuning of your craft.

Strengths of the Lesson:

The main strengths of this lesson were: Exemplary classroom control, learner
engagement, very good rapport with the learners, and very efficient use of Q
& A.
Areas for Development:
Continue working on allowing for the students to demonstrate understanding
during the course of the lesson.
Focus for next lesson:
Continue working on enhancing the learning experience of the students with
authentic practice. This is a class of very eager and able students you have
a great opportunity to leave a very positive mark on them. Please also
remember to work on your PDP goals for the rest of the internship.
