E-Portfolio Reflection
This assignment helped me realize how many different ways people define
religion. Because there are so many different practices in the world there is a wide array
of diverse definitions of religion. This helps answer the question of why there are so
many disagreements in the world. When there are so many opposing views about
something as important as religion, things can get very chaotic.
This course overall has really opened my eyes to the different religious practices
in the world. I didnt know much about each popular religion prior to this course, so this
helps me to apply my new knowledge to what is going on in the world today. I found this
course really interesting and truly challenged me to try to understand different societies.
This course has also changed the way I see religion. Its not just as simple as
reading from a religious text but it has a whole set of moral guidelines one must abide to.
Though I dont belong to a set religion, Im now able to understand how different people
think and how religious communities operate.
