Unit Terminology Review
Review
the
following
terms
and
definitions
with
the
students
in
order
to
help
reinforce the
vocabulary terms and their
meanings for the Declaration of
Independence unit.
Allow students to work on the
vocabulary guide if they have not
completed it yet.
Terminology:
1. Preamble - a preliminary or
preparatory statement; an
introduction.
2. Prohibit - to prevent from
doing something
3. Import - to bring into
4. Impose - to establish by
authority
5. Repeal - to withdrawal by
authoritative act.
6. Quarter - to provide with
lodging or shelter

At the end of class, partners will have the opportunity to
present their ideas from their Think,

Share," to the class.

discussions and the in-class activity that requires higher order thinking questions.
Participation points will be awarded to students who put worth an effort.
