the Board of Directors at Monroe Harding.
iii. Professionals: Professional groups are a great way to engage potential volunteers.
Most groups have monthly meetings, so reaching out to them with potential
speakers is one way to share the Monroe Harding story.

v. School Groups: High school and university groups seeking community service
opportunities, alternative spring break groups.
vi. Churches: Churches have been particularly generous to Monroe Harding, and we
would like to continue this strong relationship and strengthen some of the ties.
While many churches currently come to campus to do projects on campus, it
would be good to expand that program and engage some of those groups with the
youth at Monroe Harding. Special dinners, game nights, etc. would allow them to

interact with the residents and get to know them a little better; eventually
recruiting them to serve as mentors.
Purpose:
Recruit caring individuals who see hope in the life of every youth and are willing and
able to commit to trauma informed work.
Specifically, provide foster homes, group living, mentoring, relationship-building skills,
safety and structure, encouragement, spiritual formation, life skills training, education,
job placement, and more.
Ultimately, change young peoples lives.
The Message to Gain:
