Finance:

finance

Equipment
Transport
Talent
Crew

Facility hire

Importance
Without source of finance the production cannot be funded.
This includes actor, equipment, crew and facilities. Without
funds these things could not be paid for and would either not
be delivered or for things such as actors and crew they would
not work.
As all people and equipment must keep to a certain schedule,
if these things are postponed due to lack of funds then It could
result In a higher production cost.
Therefore for all the production to run smoothly and to the
optimum quality it must all be funded.

Time:

Deadlines
Availability of equipment
Availability of personnel
(size of team; roles)

Importance
Timing is of key Importance within the industry as often
production must be kept to a schedule. In filming
deadlines are set for a certain time for filming to end,
editing to begin and for a certain date for the film to be
released by.
These deadlines cannot be changed or postponed so it is
important that the production is kept to a schedule.
Another reason is that sites, crew and equipment may
need to be hired for a certain date. If a schedule is not
created some of these things may not be available and
may delay the entire production. This delay could cause
problems such as money or availability in the future.

Once filming has finished films enter the editing stage to

Codes of
practice
and
regulation:

Location permissions
Clearances
Copyright
Health and safety
Insurance

Importance
Certain locations would need to have permission, for example if
one location is a road, and to minimize risks, the road may need
to be cordoned off. This would need police permission. Another
example is when a location is being hired, and is private
property; this means the location would need permission from
the owner to film.
Health and safety needs to be taken into consideration on sets,
as there are lots of electrical equipment and dangers. These
could cause issues for people and may be harmful to them. If
these are dangerous only certain people would be allowed to
handle them due to insurance.
In Film people can claim and protect their work from such
circumstances. The purpose of copyright law is to help the
development of science and arts (the film media) by protecting
the singular right of the authors and inventors to protect t from
their works of authorship.
