{Professional Identity}

In todays highly competitive professional markets, it is

imperative that professionals make meaningful choices to
get ahead and stay ahead. Online advertising is an essential
ingredient to your business growth.
Naturally, with keen interest in advertising, professionals
have questions on the why, what, and where, of effective
advertising. Here are some of the most commonly asked
questions, with answers geared to creating a high professional
identity.

Two Types of Clients or Patients

Those Who
Know You

Those Who
Do Not

Recommended by others
Advertisements
Solicited by staff
Passer-by noticed your location
Former clients or patients

Newcomers & transients

Emergency Needs
Dissatisfied with competitor
Infrequent users
Comparison shoppers

Q. As a professional, why should I have a website?

A. There are many reasons. Attract new clients and patients.
Reinforce your services to existing patients or clients. Establish
credibility. Procure a younger clientele. Provide discretionary
information. Tailor the type of calls received. Reduce labor by
providing answers to commonly asked questions. Support for
your marketing and word-of-mouth. Combat all the increasing
competitive environments. Keep pace with todays changing
professional clients.

Q. How will a website affect my professional image?

A. Quite favorably. Recent studies show tht in the eye of adult
prospects, professionals with a responsive website have a
definite edge over the professionals who dont.
Younger, more competent, more current in his or her practice.
Less expensive than the competition. In addition, most
adults surveyed said they would only utilize the services of a
professional with a website; and they would even like to see
more information by professionals.

{A Good Website Matters}

Q. Can a website be effective?

A. Yes, and here is why. In a typical month, 76.5% of all adults
refer to the internet. Fully 55.7% use it to find businesses and
services and 17.8% use it daily.

Q. Do clients really look for attorneys on the internet?

A. Absolutely. When you consider the nature of why someone
would need an attorney, it is easy to understand why one may
not request a referral. The hiring of an attorney is generally
done in discretion, and a website provides an effective means
for attorneys to promote specific services.

Q. What about doctors, dentists, and chiropractors?

A. Internet advertising works the same for all professionals.
Heres a profile of professionals with a website:

75%

are between the ages of

25 and 45

50%

have an annual income between

$100,000 and $200,000

22%

have an annual income between

$200,000 and $500,000

11%

have an annual income between

$500,000 and $700,000

Professional Advertising Preferences

Website - 75% / Yellow Pages - 56% / Newspapers - 40.5%

Community Periodicals - 28.6% / Radio - 21.4% / Television - 8.3%

Q. How is a website different from other advertising?

A. Unlike other forms of advertising, your website doesnt
have to sell your service. Online advertising is by far the most
effective form of advertising, as potential clients and patients
generally will search online unless they are already convinced
that they need your service. As the search engines quickly
become the new yellow pages, consumers are becoming
reliant on websites to establish your credibility.

{Different Types of Websites}

Static Sites
A basic website is known as a Static Website. A static website

has minimal design options, and typically is three or four pages.

This is a good start for a business that has no identity online, or
inconsistencies online. These websites are good to create a reference
point for existing customers, however are not generally ranked very
high in a competitive industry. Static websites work well for someone
wanting their own identity. The absence of bells and whistles do not
attract substantial organic traffic, but are a great way to get your
business on the map without sweating the cost.

Premium Sites
Premium websites are responsive and user-friendly, regardless of

their complexity. They are mobile compatible and will format to fit
any size screen. This is an essential feature as 80% of the searches
online are made through a mobile phone, and Google does not display
the option of websites that are not mobile compliant. Examples of
mobile compliance would be clicking on the phone number opening
the dialer, and clicking on the address opening the GPS. Premium
websites are user-interactive, giving the user the opportunity to
participate with optional features like blog posts, RSS feeds, status
updates, newsfeeds, and login access. Premium sites offer an
unlimited number of pages, tags, and a variety of design layouts, and
can be completely customized. They also offer client admin access;
and are easily optimized, updated and upgradeable.

eCommerce Sites
eCommerce websites are premium sites with the ability to make a
purchase. Out of the Blue currently offers two types of eCommerce
sites based on the business needs. eCommerce websites offer the
user options of categorized inventory selection, accumulated by
an online shopping cart. There are many plug-in features available
for eCommerce sites for promoting, searching, browsing, payments
and shipping. The option to pay via credit card through the website
or a third-party vendor is dependent on the security certifications
assigned to the domain hosting.

Custom Coded Sites

Custom coded websites give our web team the ability to manipulate
the design and script of the website. A custom coded site costs more
up front, but it will usually perform better and cost less to maintain
over the long run than a theme-based site. Since we are coding from
the ground up, a custom coded site can take a little bit longer to
complete, depending on the design and functionality requested. The
long-term advantages of a custom-coded site are many, although the
main being how well they perform for SEO.

{Small Business Owners}

Heres what small business

owners are saying
Attorney
Initially, I was reluctant because of my investment in the yellow
pages. I pulled out of all books that year with no regret. I receive more
calls focused on my area of practice. I am very satisfied after four
years of advertising. I recommend investing.

- Hugh O. Morris, Jr.; Law Office of Hugh O. Morris

Financial Investor
I own five diverse companies and have all five listed. The
advertising is friendly and quite innovative, and eye-catching. I wish
to commend and thank you.

- Sam F. Shugart; Reynolds, Shugart & Associates, Inc.

Auto Detail Shop

I moved our location and was worried about customers being able
to find me; however that was not the case. Since I began to advertise,
my business has doubled. Thank you again for taking time to learn
about my business goals, and helping me to reach them.

- Carlton D. Arnold; POPs Detail Shop, Inc.

Insurance Company
I have three separate businesses that I advertise. Air Pro
Heating and Cooling is getting an outstanding coverage area. Philly
Connection thinks that the menu makes their Philly Cheese Steaks
look as good as it tastes. And Russel Service Company is getting more
quality calls.

- Patricia Kirt; Air Pro Heating and Cooling

Coffee Shop
Elements Coffee Company needed value for their advertising
dollar. What they received was their name in every home and
business in the surrounding areas, effectively reaching their target
community.

- Calvin King; Elements Coffee Company

Heres what small business

owners are saying
Attorney
Because I was neew to advertising, I was initially doubtful I could
afford to place an advertisement that would prove effective. However,
they took the time to listen to my concerns. Although I did not have a
huge budget, I was treated like one of the bigger accounts

- Blake N. Brantley, LLC; Attorney at Law

Mortgage Company
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about the
tremendous response that I have had. Your design was just what I
was looking for. Thank you for all of your suggestions in getting it just
right. The calls just keep pouring in!

- Sharon Roddy; Title 1 Mortgage Corporation

Chiropractic Clinic
This letter is to let you know that my advertising dollar was
well spent. The telephone has been ringing off the hook for our
fabulous weight loss product, as well as patients searching for a good
chiropractor. I look forward to many more years of working with you
and your company

- Dr. J.L. Hatch; Holistic Healthcare

Auto Salvage Yard

I want to thank you for all of your help with my marketing. I was
worried about losing business by switching website companies;
however, that was not the case. They listened to my concerns, and
helped me take what I currently had, and made it much better. I also
noticed that it is found much faster than before.

- John Rufener; Albany Auto Salvage

Bookkeeping Service
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all that you have
done for my company. Being new in business, I was amazed to find
how expensive it is to advertise in the local market. I was very pleased
to find that this is not the case. Your company has allowed my small
business to compete with larger companies
