SKF and GE Aviation enter partnership

SKF and GE Aviation have agreed to establish a new company to manufacture and
refurbish bearings for GEs engines for large aircrafts. The new company, with SKF
holding 51 percent and GE Aviation 49 percent, represents an investment of some 28
million US dollars, excluding the building, which will be leased. It will be consolidated into
the SKF Group.
The bearings will be manufactured for GE Aviation and its affiliates. The new company
will be located in Charleston, South Carolina in the United States. The company will start
deliveries in 2008 and will have about 100 employees when in full production.
