PROPOSAL
Automatic Single axis solar tracking can be
done by using PLC,SERVO SYSTEM for
increasing the output efficiency. Here LDR
used as light sensor for sensing light.

SYSTEM DESIGN
PURPOSE OF DESIGN: To trap the solar energy to the

maximum extent.
GOAL: As Global warming has increased the demand and
request for green energy produced by such as solar power.
EXPLANATION: The solar tracker is used to orient
various payloads toward the sun in order to trap the energy
to the maximum extent. The tracker is basically a mechanical
device consisting of an motor and moves according to the
command from the controller in response to the suns
direction.

The sun travels through 360 degrees

east to west per day, but from the

perspective of any fixed position is
180 degree during an average half day
period.
In horizontal position the effective
motion is about 150 degrees.
A solar panel is fixed between the
drawn and sunset extremes will see a
motion of 75 degrees to either side as
by this graph we will lose 75% of the
energy by these fixed panels.
With this solar tracking concept we
can able to minimize these losses.

INNOVATION IN PROPOSAL

Automatic solar tracking using PLC is exists but in

this project, we are extending that by using Servo

System for high accuracy in tracking.
Introducing Water/Air Spray for removing the dust
present in the panel, efficiency can be improved.
If any cell gets damaged PLC will find out the
faulty cell and alert also will be given.
