CandidatesarerequiredtoapplyONLINEtoanyoneRRBonly,dependingupontheireligibility.ApplicationtomorethanoneRRBwill
leadtorejectionofalltheapplications.
NophysicalcopyoftheapplicationisrequiredtobesenttoRRBs.
PrerequisitesforApplyingOnline:
a. CandidatesshouldhaveavalidemailIDandaMobileNumberwhichshouldbekeptactivetillthedeclarationofresults.Itwillhelp
them in getting call letter advices etc. by email. Email ID and mobile number cannot be changed at any point of time in the
registration,evenwhenmodifyingtheapplication.
b. CandidatesshouldkeeptheirMatric/SSLC/10th MarksheethandytoentertheNameandDateofbirthandotherrequireddetailsas
perthemarksheet.
c. Aadharcarddetails,ifavailable.
d. PWDcandidateswhoareeligibletoavailtheservicesofascribeshouldkeepthescribedetails(name,dateofbirth,father'sname
andscannedphoto)handy.
e. Keepreadyascannedcopyofonerecentpassportsizecolourphotograph.
f. SC/STcandidatesshouldkeepreadyascannedcopyoftheCommunityCertificate,iftheywanttoavailofthefreetravelpassforthe
exam/documentverification.
NOTE:Applicationisnotcompleteunlesstheallthedetailsarefilledin,fees(whereapplicable)arepaid,scannedphotographisuploaded
bycandidates.Acknowledgmentispurelyprovisional,subjecttoscrutiny.
Stepbystepinstruction:
1. Candidatescanclickon'NEWREGISTRATION'toapplyfreshtoanyRRB.
2. SelectRRBforwhichthecandidatewishestosubmittheapplicationandclickonthe'APPLYNOW'button.
3. Thestagesinregistrationareasfollows:

4. InthePreliminaryRegistrationpage,fillinthedetailslikeName,Father'sname,Dateofbirth,Community,EmailId,Mobilenumber
andotherdetailsrelatedtothe10th /SSLCcertificate.Thedetailsshouldmatchthatof10th classcertificate/markssheet.
5. Otherdetailssuchasgender,community,religion,PWDstatus,ExServicemendetailsetc.,previousserviceinGovernment/PSU,
emailaddress,mobilenumberaretakeninthisstage.
6. Thenextstageistheactivation,wheretheemailidandthemobilenumberofthecandidateisvalidatedandtheRegistrationNumber
is generated. Candidates will not be able to proceed to the next stage if they have not given valid email id / mobile number. On
submission of details as in point 5, an email will be received in the registered email ID with a link for activation. An OneTime
Password (OTP) is also sent to the mobile number. The candidate can proceed with the registration either by clicking on the link
receivedintheemail/usingtheOTPreceivedonthemobilenumber.Theregistrationnumberisgeneratedandaconfirmationpageis

displayed.
7. ThecandidatescanproceedtotheSecondStageofregistrationnextthroughthe'CandidateLogin'menufromthehomepageofthe
registration portal and login with their Registration ID and Date of birth (Password). In this stage, the candidate has to furnish his
detailsabouttypingproficiencyandvisionstandardsasgiveninthevacancytableoftheEN.Basedonthedetailsfilledinbythe
candidate,thelistofposts(intheselectedRRB)forwhichacandidateiseligible,isdisplayed.Thecandidateshavetoselecttheir
preferencesforthevariouspoststhattheyareeligiblefor,intheRRBtheyareapplyingto.
Candidatesarerequiredtoexercisetheiroptions/preferencestoselectfivecitiesforappearinginCBTthroughthedropdownmenu.
Theyalsohavetofillintheirpreferenceoflanguageforexamandtypingskilltest(ifapplicable),EducationalQualificationdetailsand
addressforcommunication.
8. NextthecandidateproceedstotheThirdStageofRegistrationwheretheycanpaytheapplicationfee(whereapplicable)throughone
ofthefollowingmodes.
i. DebitCards,NetbankingofbanksotherthanSBI
CandidatescanpaythroughDebitcardsandNetbankingofvariousbanks.Transactionchargesareapplicableextra.
ii. SBIDebitcard/Internetbanking
Usingthismode,candidateswhopossessSBIDebitCard/InternetbankingfacilitywithSBIcanpaytheapplicationfee.No
additionalchargesarelevied.
iii. SBIBankChallan(Notransactioncharges)
CandidatescandownloadtheBankChallanprefilledwiththeirspecificdetailsandmakethepaymentinanybranchofSBIand
associatebanks.Aftermakingthepayment,thecandidatesmustagainloginthroughtheCandidateLoginmenutoproceedwith
theregistration.
iv. PostOfficeChallan(Transaction/Processingchargesextra)
CandidatescandownloadthePostalChallanprefilledwiththeirspecificdetailsandmakethepaymentinanyComputerised
postofficeacrossthecountry.Processingfeesareapplicableextra.

9. WhenpaymentismadethroughPostOfficeChallan,candidateshavetowaitfortwothreedaysaftermakingtheirpaymentforthe
verification to be completed. Only when the payment is verified, the candidate can proceed to the next stage of Registration i.e.,
uploadingofphotographandSC/STcertificate(whereapplicable).
10. Inthefourthstageofregistration,candidateshavetouploadtheirscannedphotographofinJPG/JPEGformat,size3.5cmx3.5cm,
filesizebetween15KBand40KB.Previewoftheuploadedphotoisdisplayed.Candidatescansubmitthephotoifthepreviewis
clear.Otherwisetheycanrepeattheprocessusingafreshphoto.
PWDcandidateswhoareeligibletoavailtheservicesofascribearerequiredtouploadthescannedphotographofthescribein
JPG/JPEGformat,size3.5cmx3.5cm,filesizebetween15KBand40KB.
SC/STcandidateswhowishtoavailfreetravelauthority,havetouploadthescannedcopyoftheircastecertificate.Thescannedfile
shouldbeofJPG/JPEGformatandfilesizeshouldbebetween50KBand100KB.
Candidatesmaynotethatifthephotoisimproper,thecandidaturewillberejected(Refertoinstructionsforuploading).
Afterthefinalsubmission,candidatescanprintouttheirapplicationforreference.TheapplicationprintoutneedNOTbesenttothe
RRB.
11. EditmodeofApplications:Kindlyensurethattheapplicationisfilledincorrectly,thefirsttimeitself.Howevercandidatescaneditthe
applicationtheyhavesubmittedbychoosingthe'ModifyApplication'buttonontheregistrationportal.AfeeofRs.100/isapplicable
even to candidates belonging to exempted categories(i.e., SC / ST / PWD / ExSM / Women / Transgender / Minority /
Economicallybackwardclasscandidates)hastobepaid(noexceptions)toeditanapplicationalreadyregistered.
Candidatesmustfirstmakethepaymentbeforetheycaneditanapplication.Oncethepaymentverificationiscomplete,thecandidate
willhavetwooptionswhenhe/sheloginsthroughthe'ModifyApplication'mode.
Duringmodificationofapplication,candidatescaneditalldetails,exceptfortheemailIDandMobilenumber.

a. ModifyApplicationinthesameRRB:CandidatescanmakeanychangestotheirapplicationwithintheRRBtowhichthey
haveapplied.
b. ModifyApplicationandapplytodifferentRRB:CandidateswhohaveappliedtooneRRBcanopttoapplytoadifferentRRB
altogether.AftermakingpaymentforEdit,thecandidatescanchoosetheRRBtowhichtheywanttoreapply.Theapplication
theyhavealreadymadewillbecancelledandanewRegistrationIDforthenewRRBwillbegenerated.Alinktologintothe
newRRBwillbedisplayedbelow.Candidatescanclickonthelinkorloginthroughthe"CandidateLogin"menuonthehome
page, choose the new RRB and edit his/her application and complete the registration process. An email is also sent to the
candidatewithhisNewregistrationnumberandthelinktothenewRRB.
