Opportunities of
globalization
Accessibility and information sharing is one of the benefits of
globalization in higher education. With the speed of Internet
nowadays, thousands of national and international resources (e.g.
journal articles) can be accessed from the university library
system. Also, adjunct professors like Dr. Martin, who are overseas,
can teach online, answer questions and provide feedback to

I think it provides a unique opportunity to learn with students
from all over the world. The global perspectives that you gain
from this learning is something you cannot get in many other
formats. I have had the opportunity to work with other students
from so many other countries as well as be instructed from other
countries. It is easy to be trapped in your home country "bubble"
in a more traditional setting. This takes you out of your own world
and opens the world up to you! Becky

Globalization of higher online education provides is an opportunity to
learn from experts and professors of the field that otherwise
would not be possible. I find it amazing that with a few clicks and the
Internet, a person can listen to a lecture from a professor at MIT or

The opportunity taken by the higher education institutions: many
higher education institutions are taking globalization as an opportunity
to raise their enrollment (thus their revenues) Dr. Heo
By offering online higher education courses globally, it allows
students to connect with each other and learn things about
each other's countries and culture that they may not otherwise
have the opportunity to learn. Like Becky said previously, it is easy to
get trapped in our home country bubble. I think this is especially
important for personal growth and adds to the learning

An opportunity that comes from global online education is the ability to
broaden your knowledge on not only material but learning styles.
This is similar to learning from culturally diverse groups and absorbing their
different perspectives. However, I think it is important to focus on the
different learning techniques, learning styles, and study habits we could
learn from being in a global classroom. Just from our own research in our
program, we have learned about the very different educational systems
from one nation to another and this can be seen even through online
education. It opens the doors for us to deepen our learning and become
lifelong learners by learning techniques from our peers. Vanessa
From my point of view, one opportunity that globalization of higher online
education provides is the ability to share information almost
immediately. Also, the ability to share experiences and learn from others
accross not only the country, but the world, provides the opportunity to
grow culturally and as a learner. The various media tools (i.e, YouTube,
FaceBook, Online Articles, Discussion boards), provides ways for all types of
learners to be engaged in the content being discussed. Jessica

Though I may be repeating what some of my classmates


have said, I think globalization is an opportunity for
higher educational institutions to increase enrollment
and give more access to prestigous institutions to

The one opportunity is balancing the education
quality all over the world. The advanced education
institutes provide their better lectures and high quality
education. This offer may fill the gap between developing
countries and developed countries. The unbalance of
education is a factor to make the unstable situation for
the world. Hence, the online higher education can make
