25-Point Projects
Presentation: Geologists study the solid and liquid matter on Earth.

Imagine that
you are a geologist studying rocks. Prepare a three- to five-minute presentation that
explains the rock cycle for the class. Create a visual aid to use during the presentation.

Pamphlet: Design a pamphlet that explains the rock cycle in a simple, interesting
way. The first page of the pamphlet should be a title page. Each of the following
pages should discuss one phase of the rock cycle and have one illustration.

cycle. Highlight at least five important rock-cycle vocabulary words on your list.

Poem: Write two haiku poems about the rock cycle.

A haiku is a three-line poem that


has five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in
the third line. Choose words carefully to create a powerful image in readers minds.

5-Point Projects
Poster: Design a poster about the rock cycle. The poster should have eye-catching
graphics and important facts listed clearly.

Poem: Write an acrostic poem by writing ROCK CYCLE vertically down the middle of
a piece of lined paper. Use each letter in another word or phrase that relates to the
